Failed SF Comedian, Elon Musk, Paints Over The W On Twitter Sign At Twitter HQ
You know what’s worse than a billionaire? A billionaire that desperately wants you to think he’s funny. And Elon Musk is exactly that billionaire. While Elon’s trolling is usually contained on Twitter feeds, his most recent attempt at levity has now come to Market Street. He, being the comedic genius he so wants you to believe that he is, initially decided to remove the W from Twitter sign so that it would be read as… “Titter.” As in tits. As in boobs. I know, right? Wow. This Elon guy? So funny. Much wow.
There’s only one problem with his jokes: they’re not funny.
This isn’t the first time Elon Musk decided to be the funniest person in the world. When the deal to purchase Twitter was finalized, Musk arranged for a film crew to film him walking into Twitter HQ with a sink. In a tweet (or I guess now a teet,) Musk posted the footage with the caption “Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!”
You can watch here:
There’s only one problem with his jokes: they’re not funny. The thing is, I don’t want Elon to stop trying to be funny. I want him to keep doing this because his insistence on continually embarrassing himself in front of the entire world is actually… kind of funny.
Elon Musk’s side mission as San Francisco’s most well funded failed comedian has even put him on stage with actual comedians. Back in December, Dave Chappelle brought Elon Musk on stage for some reason. Elon was overwhelmingly booed while he just stood there awkwardly.
The footage is pretty amazing.
You would think Elon’s repeated rendezvous with comedic failure would deter him. Before the Chappelle stunt, this horribly unfunny man even hosted SNL. He was so unfunny, he actually cost me money. Let me explain: So I’m an idiot sometimes. I, being an idiot, bought DogeCoin, and for a while it was doing very well. I put $250 in and at one point my small investment surged in value to around $4,000.
I was pretty stoked. I was looking forward to Elon Musk going on SNL because I, like so many other faceless nerds on Reddit, was under the assumption that Elon hosting SNL would introduce DogeCoin to rich baby boomers. We figured these boomers would invest. The idea was when the boomers invested, the price would surge and we’d all be rich.
That didn’t happen.
Elon was so unfunny that within 20 minutes of the show, I lost $1000. People who invested larger amounts, in some cases, much larger amounts, lost untold amounts of money. Why?
Because Elon Musk is just that damn funny.
