SF’s Vintage Mall, Stuff, is Closing
San Francisco’s largest vintage shop, Stuff, has lost its lease and will be closing at the end of January according to an instagram post where staff explained the details behind their sad end. What’s unique about STUFF is that there are over 60 businesses who have their own little collectible business within the location. Shops within the shop, as they would say.
“It’s been probably the toughest six months in our life. Just because we love the people of San Francisco, we love our customers, we love our dealers, we love our staff,” Spinello said to Mission Local. “It breaks my heart.”

Why are they closing?
According to other sources, the closing has been in the works for over 2 years and is likely due to a landlord dispute. According to Mission local, the landlord was looking to increase the rent to $75,000 a month which is three times what they are currently paying. An increase like that is too much for Stuff to be able to sustain their business. The owner of Stuff did try to buy the building back in 2021 but the deal fell through.
Stuff is still open until the end of January. How can you help out? Donate to their Gofundme if you’re able or shop one of the shops inside Stuff before they have to shutter their doors.
