Jet lag and $1 beers
I just got back last night from 10 days in the Yucatan Peninsula. It was mostly spent reading on white sand beaches in the Mayan Riviera, and truthfully it was Plan B. The original idea was for my lady and I to visit Cuba, smoke some cigars, drink rum, and eat lots of pork. But Since Cuba isn’t allowing flights from Mexico, due to the Piggy Plague, 10 days of margaritas, looking at girls in bikinis, and still eating lots of pork was a fantastic runner up.
I’m pretty shit at sleeping on planes, so needless to say I’m totally jet lagged. That’s why I’m falling back on one of my favorite things in San Francisco for today’s post: Monday nights at The Homestead. As you can see here and here I’ve written about this before, but something this awesome never gets old. $1 PBRs, soul music, and being allowed to throw peanut shells on the floor, is some of the best shit you can experience in this lifetime…so what if I’ve got low standards?
Anyways, once I get my shit together I will be sure to post some stories and photos of my travels like I always do. If you haven’t read any of my travelogues yet, you totally should by clicking here.
