Teach-In to Support Black Lives Matter

Last week’s turn out.

If you remember last week was the Emergency Meeting to Support Black Lives Matter. It was a fantastic success. A few hundred people showed up who were all willing to put in the work and have the hard conversations necessary to move forward towards racial equality.

Today, Wednesday July 20th is the next meeting. It’s being called Let’s Take Action 2: Visioning + Working Groups to support #BlackLivesMatter. It’s happening at Parisoma from 7pm-9pm. Below is all the info from the FB invite.

Last week, 250 of us met and committed to taking action and educating ourselves. We formed a Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/159500984469693/

Now the work continues. We will discuss points of unity: why are we here, what do we want to do. Then we will break into working groups:
– Self-Education
– Mental Health
– Monetary donations
– Tech/Web
– Media/PR
– Meeting Spaces
– Corporate Engagement
– Legal & Policy
