The SF Symphony’s Single Ticket Day is the most magical day of the year, and it’s almost here!
On Monday July 18, ticketsĀ for all concerts in the 2016-17 season go on sale! This means you can get the best seats to the hottest concerts starting at just $15. But you have to be there at 8am when the box office opens, because when theĀ online sales commence at 10am, some of the best deals are already gone. 8am is whenĀ the adventure begins!
This deal is so good that every year people start lining up around Davies Symphony Hall at like 4am. SoĀ the symphony folks are turning this into a kind of party. The first 200 people in line get free gourmet coffee drinks from Pinup Girl Coffee CoĀ to pair with free delicious buttermilk fried chicken and waffles fromĀ The Waffle Roost. It’s almost kinda like the parking lot of a Phish concert…ok, that might be an exaggeration.
This season’s lineup of shows is pretty amazing. Here are just some of the highlights:
– Michael Tilson Thomas conducting Beethoven’s 5th
– World-renowned soloists like Yuja Wang and Joshua Bell
– Amazing concerts led by Gustavo Dudamel with the LA Phil
– Classic films like Raiders of the Lost Ark with the Symphony playing the score, live, and much more!
Enjoy yourselves out there and save some chicken and waffles for me.
