A Wedding at the Food Carts on Linda St.?

I just saw this on the Creme Brulee guy’s twitter page:

“The linda st carts are proud to present LOVE. A wedding at the street carts on Friday. Let’s all try and look our best for the young couple.”

Really?!?  Getting married on a Mission side street, in front of a bunch of strangers, who are stuck waiting in line for curry?  And who the hell is officiating?  Did the Tamale Lady sign up online to be ordained a minister?

Maybe this whole street food thing has gone too far.  Is anyone else as baffled about this as I am?  I did hear that the Creme Brulee guy recently got engaged, so if he’s the one getting hitched it makes a bit more sense.  Otherwise someone is taking being a “foodie” way too seriously.

ps for those who don’t know, all the new Mission food vendors get together on Linda street on Friday nights and sell stuff.
