Dolores Park Movie Night Tonight: Amelie

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

It’s that time of year again in San Francisco.  What time am I speaking of?  The awesomist time.  All summer long (and for part of the spring and fall) a benevolent group of people, who go by the simple name of Dolores Park Movie Night Staff, take it upon themselves to bring you the gift of FREE movies.

That’s right folks, the second Thursday of every month is Dolores Park Movie Night and tonight’s movie is one of my favorites, Amelie.  I’m not gonna sit here and give you a plot rundown of the flick because, that’s not my job, but I will tell you that Movie Nights in DP are one of the best ways to spend a Thursday evening.

Bring a blanket, some grub, some mota and a little sumpin’-sumpin’ to sip on, and you will have a wonderful time.  Plus, there’s a good chance the Tamale Lady will be there as well, just in case your amount of munchies out weighs the amount of food your brought.  BUT, if you wanna ensure a good view, make sure to get to the park early.  The movie starts at 8:15.

For more info about these nights, as well as to find out how to donate your time or money (this shit has to run somehow), make sure to check them out here or ask them about it tonight at the park.
