FREE Amy Sedaris Reading About Crafts
I never got into Strangers with Candy. In the first episode I watched, someone cooked Jerri’s pet chicken and it bugged me out. So I didn’t really start liking Amy Sedaris until I bought her book I like You, Hospitality Under the Influence with instructions and recipes for throwing parties with themes ranging from “lumberjack lunch” to “a rich uncle comes to visit.” The recipes are great, but I was really sold with the bean collage illustrations and tips for kicking guests out. Her newest book Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People is perfect for any broke ass crafter, or broke asses who want to be crafty. If you’ve been looking for how to make a cardboard indoor rabbit dwelling, fingerless gloves, or you just don’t know what type of glue to use on googely eyes, this book has your answers. But if you’re too broke to buy any books until they get released in paperback or end up at a stoop sale, go to Barnes and Noble tomorrow night. Amy Sedaris will be reading and showing off her crafts in person, so you can get the cliffs notes of Simple Times.
