Big DIY Moving Sale to Support Kelly Malone
Anyone who has read this site for awhile knows how linked together BrokeAssStuart.com and Kelly Malone are. And anyone who lives in SF knows how important Kelly is to The City as well as how much of a badass she is. Kelly started Indie Mart in her backyard and grew it into SF’s most favorite DIY street fair and she and David Knight started Workshop as a place for people to learn killer DIY skills.
Well I’ve got some bad news folks, Kelly is moving back home to Philly for awhile to take care of some sick family members, as well as look after her own health. While she’s planning on coming back to SF sooner than later, she’s having a humungous moving sale this Tuesday, January 8th. Here is what she has to say:
Hey y’all. I love SF and feel heartbroken but… Im moving to Philly (home) for a while (be back as soon as I can). Gotta take care of my sick family, take care of some of my own health issues, and recoup financially a bit. So im selling EVERYTHING. my apartment. my art studio. everything in it. need to make loot to get home, catch up on back rent and well, get out of the financial hell hole of doom i seem to be in. Ive put EVERTYTHING into my business and this town, but I am HELLA broke. SO i am selling all of it and starting over. after all, its just stuff. so you should buy it!!! putting my entire life up for sale:) hopefully ill be back after a few months. plan is to come back when all is better.♥
This means that Kelly will be selling all kinds of awesome stuff, much of it handmade by some of the Bay Area’s best local artists and designers. To see a list of some of the stuff that will be for sale go to the Facebook invite. We all know how much San Francisco loves out creative visionaries, and Kelly Malone is a major one. So come out and support! I’ll be there helping out for part of the day, so make sure to say hello if you stop through.
