BUY LOCAL or MAKE YOUR OWN!!!
If you are the gift-giving type, it is quickly approaching that time of year when certain friends and family expect presents. However, if you’re the broke gift-giving type, finding affordable presents can be a little stressful. The fun fix? Crafts! This time of year is perfect for making presents and buying local handmade goods. The Bay Area’s record low temperatures mean it’s time to do some crafts in front of the fire (or if you’re broke and/or care about the environment, swap the fire for as many layers of sweatshirts as you can wear without compromising your knitting arms). Make ‘em at this weekend’s Church of Craft or buy ‘em and support local crafters at this weekend’s craft fairs and rad pop-up shops.
