Come to my “Fuck the Recession Party”, I’m buying beer!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

This is what it sounds like when I write about myself in third person:

Broke-Ass Stuart has been called 'œAn SF Cult Hero' (SF Bay Guardian), 'œBest Local Writer' (SF Weekly) and “The Chief of Cheap” (Time Out New York) but to those familiar with his work, he’s just 'œthat douchebag who writes books about cheap stuff and drinks a lot'.

This Wednesday,  April 8th, he will be bringing his particular brand of madness to San Francisco’s The Rickshaw Stop, when he throws “Broke-Ass Stuart’s Fuck the Recession Party”.

The premise for the party is that everyone, despite the recession, should be able go out and enjoy themselves and not spend too much money doing it.

To this end, Stuart will start the night by buying a keg of beer to give away for FREE while supplies last (people just have to RSVP for it here).

Then there will be live music by Sugar & Gold and Richie Cunning.  Plus DJ Citizen Ten (from Tuesday nights at Madrone) will be on the turn tables, and the SF Indie Mart will be doing DIY stations.  The DIY stations will include awesome stuff like button makers, and a booth where, if you bring your own t-shirt, they will silk screen it for you.
