Whiz Burgers is the type of joint that when you randomly see it one day while riding your bicycle, you say to yourself, “Holy shit!  How have I never seen this place before?”  At least that’s what happened to me.  This spot is something out of a Beach Boys song or a movie starring a young Ron Howard.  It’s a walk up burger restaurant that’s been around since 1955 and sells old fashioned milk shakes.  They have a variety of burger choices, including chicken, turkey and veggie, and a meal with fries and a large soda is as cheap as Mickey-D’s.  While your there, pick up a t-shirt for an extra $2.00 with your meal.

Broke-Ass Stuart - Editor In Cheap

I've been called "an Underground legend": SF Chronicle , "an SF cult hero": SF Bay Guardian, and "the chief of cheap": Time Out New York, but to those familiar with my work, I'm just "that douchebag who writes books about cheap stuff and drinks a lot".

The trick to WIZZ BURGER is knowing how to order. The burgers are very boring till you know how to customize them! I suggest the patty melt add lettuce and thousand island dressing!!!
