Tonight! FREE Live Nude Girls! Well, Not Really…
Did that get your attention? Now that you’re here, this is the real scoop: Writer Sheila McClear is going to talk about her book titled The Last of the Live Nude Girls tonight at The Booksmith. Sorry about the bait and switch.
In the book, McClear tells us about her experiences working in Times Square’s peep shows, which are all but extinct now (with the notable exception of the Lusty Lady in North Beach). She kept working the shows longer than she intended to — nearly two years — because she wanted to tell their stories once they die off completely. Now that she’s an accomplished reporter and writer for the likes of the New York Post and Gawker.com, she can share what might otherwise be taboo information and recollections of the short-lived 1970s peep shows. If you have any interest in live nude girls (I know you do), check out this FREE event tonight.
