Cheap Beauty Tip of the Week: Learn All About Acne for FREE

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

What’s better than getting cheap skin care advice? How about getting FREE skin care advice? The International Dermal Institute is not only where all of the research and development of Dermalogica products come from, but its also the education epicenter for professional skin therapists worldwide. It’s where estheticians go after beauty school to receive postgraduate education and become professional skin therapists.

The folks at IDI are hosting a FREE webisode and live Q&A on Acne: Cause, Effect and Management from their Facebook page this Monday, November 21st. The event is designed for licensed estheticians and professional skin therapists, but is open for anyone to attend. Why would you want to attend? Some of us suffered in high school with acne. Many of us may still struggle with acne long into adulthood. The webisode will cover all things acne including causes and triggers, contributing factors, ingredients, types of products to use and treatment protocols. You don’t even have to be a licensed professional to participate. If  you are interested in learning what acne is all about and want to know how to take better care of your skin, you are invited to attend.

After the webisode, there will be a live Q&A session where attendees will be able to post questions on IDI’s Facebook wall and get them answered in real time by Annet King, the Director of Global Education for Dermalogica and IDI and Whitney Johnson, the Global Education Developer for IDI. Free skin care advice from IDI’s top dawgs? Now that’s a bargain!

To join the event, all you have to do is RSVP on IDI’s Facebook page. Then on the day of the event, visit their Facebook page to see the video and participate in the live Q&A.

Kathleen Neves - Beauty Babe on a Budget

Licensed esthetician by day and product junkie and writer by night. I love reading, writing and researching beauty and makeup topics such as education, new makeup/skin care product launches, product reviews, beauty advice, product ingredients, special/local beauty events, as well as documenting my own professional experience as an esthetician. Living in San Francisco is expensive so I am always on the hunt for cost effective beauty bargains.
