It’s 415 Day! Celebrate by Supporting SF Restaurants!
Look at your calendar. You’ll notice that today is April 15th, aka 4/15. Not only is that San Francisco’s area code, it’s also the day The City was officially incorporated in 1850.
This year April 15th is being used to launch Order415.com a new curated directory of San Francisco restaurants that are currently open for takeout and/or delivery. The service is free to both users and restaurants, and the goal is to connect hungry people with eateries that need their support during this pandemic. This effort has been put together by SF Travel, The Golden Gate Restaurant Association, and Growth Marketing Firm.
The first 415 Day happened in 2016 when a collection of SF natives and longtime locals got together in Dolores Park on 4/15 at 4:15 to celebrate The City. It was a day for residents to “stand together in solidarity and love, to celebrate our culture, diversity, and life.”
While the original creators of 415 Day had no idea that we’d be in such dire circumstances just four years later, using this day as a way to help support locally owned businesses seems like a pretty great continuation of that sense of love and solidarity.
So order from a local restaurant today and help keep local businesses alive in San Francisco.
