The bars may be closed, but the stars of the Bay Area nightlife scene are still coming out and putting on spectacular shows. Online shows, that is! Just like the Hunky Jesus Contest is going online this year, some of your favorite weekly events and parties are providing online streaming alternatives too. 

Some of these are live events, others are archived and available on demand. All times listed are Pacific Time, but here are your best opportunities to log on and get off to forget your shut-in blues.

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 2

Dolly Parton’s ‘Goodnight With Dolly’ (4pm and On Demand afterward)

Hubba Hubba Revue’s “BURLESQUERPIECE THEATRE!” (9pm)

A monster line-up of queens comes together for “a retro-digital age virtual telethon that will be everything you’ve come to expect on Thursdays at the Edge. You know, a tragedy.” The show is “a fundraiser for the Edge Relief Fund, to help the staff though their sudden loss of employment. Jesus goddamn Christ, even a complete atheist like me is completely spellbound by the sight of Pope Francis saying mass by himself in a completely empty St. Peter’s Basilica.
